« Overall this is a fantastic site if you intend to spend all your time on site relaxing. Positives: The site is very well presented, landscaped and maintained. Our cabin had excellent privacy, natural shade and attractive planting. There are a wide variety of activities on site, so many we did not use them all over the course of our week long stay. The shop is excellent with the widest variety of breakfast pastries we've ever seen at a Yelloh Village. Negatives: On foot access to the lake is via a steep rough path or walking in the road. It's at least a 20 minute walk to the pedalos. The lake is not really a swimming lake and there is no beach. »

« Great site and facilities,although closing at the start of September is not ideal for retired people who can travel outside season. Some of our sites in NI do not close until end of October. It would be ideal if croissants and bread ordered could be left in the Nature and Sens area, saving the long trek to the shop. Otherwise a lovely site. »

« As always the Reception Staff are very welcoming. It is the first time we have stayed in one of your cottages and it was very clean and comfortable. 5 foot bed much appreciated and the linen and towel pack perfect. We love Le Pin Parasol site - it has so many amenities. »

« A great site for camping as a family, a warm welcome, clear instructions and a good map. Tent pitches were spread out though some felt very enclosed with overgrown bamboo. And quite a walk to the toilets from where we were camping. Impeccable clean toilets and showers. »

« Great campsite, lovely big pitch near a lovely shower block, great swimming area for kids. Marked down from 10 because our pitch drainage was uphill so didn’t work, not a great variety of food options on site, weird double queue system for drinks which was slow. And the shop was bare by the end of our stay (due to end of season I assume). »

« Hi Laurence, Thank you for your contact. Yes, we had a fantastic time, thank you. We wanted to offer the site some feedback, which would further enhance our visit, if we were to come back in future, and which I think would enhance the experience for many other people too: Our daughter has coeliac disease and is therefore gluten free and cannot have any food stuff which contains gluten. We were very frustrated to see that all of your food outlets at Le Pin Parasol, including the in-store bakery and the takeaway outlet for pizza had barely, if any, any gluten free offering. I have to tell you that in many of the campsites where we stay elsewhere, especially here in the UK, there are lots of gluten free options, including takeaway pizza and fresh produce options (you simply need to have gluten free bases, which can be pre-ordered and a separate food preparation area for your staff to prepare the food in a gluten free manner). My point being that the food option exists in a takeaway form, you simply have not culturally embraced providing for people with allergies, which is very disappointing. I wonder if you were to trial the provision of gluten free pizzas and gluten free fresh options in the in-store bakery (such as gluten-free chocolate twists, which we saw at other sites) what frequency of purchase you would experience? I suspect higher than you might imagine. When we go camping, we like to remain on site and not have to leave so that we can relax and enjoy the local amenities. Whilst staying with you at Le Pin Parasol, we found it frustrating that we had to leave the site every day to go to other restaurants and food outlets who could cater for the gluten free needs of our daughter. As such, you missed out on us spending a lot more money with you because we had to keep leaving the site. Our preference would have been to use your food outlet options but you simply did not have suitable options for anyone with allergies. Given the large size of Le Pin Parasol and the many people who camp there, we cannot be alone in experiencing this frustration. Many people in the UK have asked us about our stay at Le Pin Parasol and we tell them it is generally fantastic, but sadly we have to mention the frustration of the very poor choice of gluten free food options on site. Also, given that we always choose Yelloh Village sites because we consider 'Yelloh Village' to be a mark of quality in so many other ways, we are surprised and disappointed that Le Pin Parasol, and Yelloh Village as an organisation, is so behind in its provision for any person who has an allergy, such as gluten free. « The park is absolutely fantastic, facilities are immaculate, however it was disappointing for us that several of the amenities were closed for the majority of our stay. The park should either be open or closed. Due to this we won’t return or recommend staying here past August 31st. »
