Parc aquatique - camping le Pin Parasol

Campsite near Les Sables-d’Olonne

This charming seaside resort is ranked as one of the most beautiful bays in the world. You'll love its long sandy beaches, its architecture, its port, its town centre and the embankment… Choosing to go camping in Les Sables-d'Olonne means opting for a holiday synonymous with freedom and the great outdoors on the shores of the Atlantic.

A perfect beach for families: the Grande Plage in Les Sables d'Olonne and its seafront promenade

The Grande Plage is a real gem. Bordered by a lively promenade, it offers a safe and pleasant environment for all the family: soft sand, shallow waters ideal for splashing about, and constant surveillance in summer. During the summer months, you can even hire a mattress and private cabin. The Grande Plage is also remarkable for its size, giving you plenty of space to enjoy some great family time.

Once you've enjoyed the beach, you can take a stroll along the promenade, facing the sea. Souvenir shops, crêpes, waffles or ice creams, bars/restaurants… What a pleasure to stroll along the seafront and enjoy!

City centre and sights, the Chaume district & activities

Continue your visit and discover the streets and the town centre. The must-see spot from the promenade is Ile Penotte, a pretty pedestrianised area of the old town: since the 1990s, a local artist has embellished the walls with a multitude of frescoes made from seashells. You'll love wandering around and discovering this artist's unique work!

Strolling through the streets of the town centre also means discovering a wealth of preserved architecture here and there: lighthouses, churches, priories, abbeys, villas, fountains… We love every detail!

Finally, continue your visit on the other side of the river, in the Chaume district. A former fishing and market-gardening village, it is separated from the seaside town by the channel that leads to the marina as well as the commercial and fishing ports. In La Chaume, there are two emblematic viewpoints from which to admire the splendour of the bay of Les Sables d'Olonne: the Prieuré Saint-Nicolas lookout and the Arundel Tower. To complete your visit, don't miss the Place Sainte-Anne and its trompe-l'œil mural fresco, a poetic illustration of local life.

To complete your excursion to Les Sables d'Olonne, close to your campsite, don't miss the Musée du Coquillage near the port, and the Sables d'Olonne zoo, which features around 350 animals.
