A unique and revitalising environment in the Vendée
Lac du Jaunay, located in the heart of the Vendée, is a 114-hectare natural gem. Its enchanting setting attracts lovers of nature and tranquillity, with its calm waters, wooded shores and secret little coves. Although it is an artificial lake, created by a dam on the River Jaunay, it is surrounded by landscapes that look like they've been lifted straight out of an Impressionist painting.
What makes Lac du Jaunay particularly unique is its rich biodiversity. Between the tall grasses, reeds and weeping willows, it is home to a varied fauna, including many species of migratory birds.
For walkers, paths wind around the lake, offering breathtaking views and discreet observation points. There are 12 kilometres of paths around the lake. These paths allow you to discover a whole range of landscapes. Walkers and mountain bikers will be delighted by the tranquillity that reigns here.
The Lac du Jaunay is directly accessible from your Le Pin Parasol campsite; we love getting up at dawn, before the rest of the family, and going for a jog in such peaceful and pleasant surroundings.

Every year in July and August, Les Canoës du Jaunay offer pedalos and canoes for hire.
As the water is calm, it's the perfect place for a family initiation. Choose from 30-minute, 1-hour or 2-hour packages! No need to book! Just turn up, make your choice and get on board.
You can hire 2-seater canoes or 2, 3, 4 and 6-seater pedalos, at prices ranging from €12 to €40 per craft. You can also take advantage of a Happy Hour package with a 50% discount, Monday to Friday from 10am to 12pm, all summer long!

La Baudrière landing stage
Let yourself be guided by the friendly and welcoming Canoës du Jaunay teams. On site you'll find free parking, picnic tables and the sale of cold drinks and snacks.
Le Pré landing stage
Les Canoës du Jaunay are also present in July/August at the Pré landing stage, very close to your campsite. New panoramas await you! Just 2 steps away, you'll find the Auberge du Jaunay, the lake-side crêperie welcoming you to a charming stone building with an uninterrupted view over the magnificent Lac du Jaunay.
A storytelling trip on the water at sunset?
At sunset, let yourself be carried away by the magic of Lac du Jaunay during a storytelling tour in a canoe or pedalo. Every Monday evening in July and August, set off on a unique journey, where legends and landscapes intertwine in the golden light of sunset.
Enjoy 1:30 hours of escapism in the heart of nature. Departing from the base at Le Pré, in La Chapelle-Hermier, one of the sailors from Les Canoës du Jaunay will tell you all about the secrets of the lake…
